Excellent food, friendly helpful staff, peaceful location within easy reach of Peterborough, parking outside uniit
hanging baskets and planters needed attention
Friendly welcome, efficient and relaxed approach from the staff. All requests acted on. Room was comfortable and heated for a chilly June evening! Tea/coffee making facilities. Pub was lovely and the restaurant even better! Try the chargrilled steak - excellent. A great place to stay if you want a country break - beautiful scenery and close to main network.
the way the rooms are situated it feels like you're in a separate apartment. Also the food was absolutely gorgeous, the best steak we have ever eaten!!
The location beside the river gave a very pleasant place to relax in the sun.
Unfortunately flies in the restaurant made eating a bit uncomfortable. We mentioned this and are advised that it has been addressed by spraying.
The queens head is in a very pretty little village The rooms are situated out the back seperate from the inn at the bottom of the garden is a beautiful river from when we arrived the newowner made us extremly welcome the inn is a mix of olde worlde & new sensitively done both the inn and rooms are spotless wish the owner every sucess he deserves it a very relaxing stay this inn is well linked for the a1
The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and courteous. We had an excellent dinner in the restaurant and a first class, freshly cooked breakfast. The courtyard room was spacious and comfortable, nicely furnished, with good bathroom facilities.
One minor niggle was the noisy loo flush in our bathroom and we could hear the next rooms quite loudly too.
We had an eveninng meal in the hotel, it was very enjoyable and finished off a lovely day. Breakfast was also very good and the bed was very comfortable.Overall a lovely break. Would definately book again.
Great location and great room price, enjoyed are stay, will go back again & stay longer.
The staff were very pleasant and attentive and happy to help, the food was good, the service was excellent, the accommodation was comfortable and the setting was lovely. All in all highly recommended for a quiet and relaxing break with some lovely walks beside the river.
Not suitable if you want to be in the centre of things. Have to drive everywhere for night life. The restaurant can get very busy at weekends when service is a little slow, understandably.
We were treated so well the food was perfect .it was so relaxing and peaceful u wouldnt be able to find fault.
Easy to find and really impressed by frienliness of staff. Room was warm and spacious and the bed extremely comfortable. The restaurant has an extensive menu much of which is sourced locally and being January we benefitted from some special offers at the time of our visit which made our stay even more enjoyable. Wikk visit again for sure.
Close to Yarwell where my brother lives
knew the area well, bed was so comfi best night sleep for ages. Was a good price for time of year, will use Booked.net again if we have to stay for the queens head as was cheaper than booking direct. Not booked before at the queens head as at certain times can be expensive but a lovely room.
The Owner & Staff personally made us most welcome & were helpful in providing information about local Events & Places of interest. We will certainly make another visit. M.P. Harding.
The restaurant meal was excellent as was the service. Every mouthful was to be savoured. Pleasant relaxing environment.
Disappointing that the restaurtant was not open on Sunday evening and we could not make the Sunday lunch srving times.
